Vertical Water - Whitney Museum of American Art - New York - 1991

Vertical Water was installed on the facade of the Breuer Building of the then Whitney Museum in 1991 for the Whitney Biennial. A loudspeaker system was installed on the undersides of the overhanging sections of the front facade and in the moat. Sounds recorded at Niagara Falls descended the building, silencing the traffic noise on Madison Ave.
